Check out some of the fun arts events to look forward to in the Farmington/Farmington Hills community this week:
Monday, February 10th, at 6:30 PM: the Farmington Community Library at 32737 W 12 Mile Road presents the feature film The Long Walk Home, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Sissy Spacek, in celebration of Black History Month.
Thursday, February 13th, at 7:00 PM: Jean Alicia Elster will be the featured speaker for a middle grade book discussion group at the Farmington Community Library at 32737 W 12 Mile Road. Elster will be discussing her work and her recently published book, The Colored Car.
Friday, February 14th, at 8:00 PM: performance of the Assassins opens at the Farmington Players. “This deliciously dark Stephen Sondheim musical explores the minds and motives of the nine men and women who have attempted to assassinate the President of the United States. The show uses the premise of a murderous carnival game to produce a revue-style portrayal of these real life assassins, from John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald.“
Sunday, February 16th, at 2:30 PM: The Farmington Musicale presents “Songs of Love” at the Farmington Community Library at 32737 W 12 Mile Road.
