Farmington Hills City Hall Exhibit of Artwork by Richard Adams

The City of Farmington Hills Department of Special Services will display the works of local artist Richard Adams in City Hall (located at 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road) from Monday, September 11th through Friday, November 17th, 2023.

The community is invited to an opening reception and artist talk on Friday, September 15th from 6-8 p.m. at City Hall.

The exhibit, titled “These Things That I’ve Seen,” is a collection of Adams’ oil paintings, highlighting the Farmington artist’s experiences in the area.

“If images from life are presented to our imaginations, it is the task of the artist to create this for the enjoyment of others,” said Adams, regarding the process of capturing landscapes, travel memories and sacred moments at home with his cat.

Adams also serves as the president of the Farmington Art Foundation and displays his paintings in a variety of local shows and venues, including seven years with the Public Art Program of Farmington Hills. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Adams taught art in public schools for several years.

The public can view the art exhibit Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
